My story
I wish I could say that I have always been a natural foodie, but like most people, my relationship with food was a little more complicated.
I went from a skinny child to a curvy teenager overnight, which affected my confidence, my mood, and my emotions, looking back, this time has given me a real understanding of how stubborn our minds can be in resisting positive changes; if we are not in the right place frame of mind to make those changes. I grew up with a sister with an eating disorder, with a fat-obsessed mother ready to body-shame anyone slightly overweight. Having seen a sick relationship with my body image vented on food has certainly increased my sensitivity to this subject. I guess was the start of my journey with food and nutrition.
I graduated in Chemistry and Pharmaceutical Technology at the University of Milan and went on to do a Ph.D. in Experimental and Clinical Nutrition, which was later translated and published in the Journal of Nutrition.
After winning a postdoctoral EU fellowship, I moved to New York to work in Nutrition and Cancer at the Strang Cancer Prevention Centre at the Rockefeller University. I went on to work at Weill Cornell Medical College at the New York Presbyterian Hospital after being awarded a grant in Nutrition and Cancer Prevention by the National Institute of Health. Here I investigated the effect of obesity on breast cancer and was exposed to the very latest clinical evidence in nutrition and cancer.
In 2008 I went through a profound personal crisis. I was still in New York, which like me was going through the worst economic crisis in history, and I felt that my academic career was about to end but my passion for nutrition was growing. I wanted to apply my knowledge of clinical nutrition to help people. I moved to London without a plan, joined the UK General Pharmaceutical Council as a certified Pharmacist, and qualified as a Nutritionist with a diploma in Nutrition and Health at the British College of Nutrition and Health.
I'm excited to share that I've recently completed a three-year course at I.P.S.O (Istituto Psicologia Somatorelazionale) to become a counsellor. As a nutritionist, I've always been aware of the importance of mindset and emotions when it comes to food-related issues. Now, with my new skills, I'm able to offer evidence-based and tailored support to my clients, helping them overcome their unique challenges and achieve their goals. I'm about combining my scientific knowledge with my understanding of the psychological aspects of food problems to make a real difference in people's lives
Alongside my passion for nutrition, I am also a skin supplement specialist and have worked with businesses to develop formulations for anti-aging supplements, as well as being part of the team that developed a health and nutrition app (please see my website www.nutriformulator.com). My unwavering passion for innovation in the fields of nutrition and science motivates me to assist individuals worldwide in taking better care of their health, thereby embarking on a new journey.

My time is divided between London and Milan. I work mostly online, I see my patients occasionally at my clinic at Nelsons Pharmacy, 87 Duke Street, Mayfair London.

My background
As a leading nutritionist with years of experience, I am able to bring together both emotional support and nutritional expertise to help clients from all different backgrounds. With me, you can have someone to confide in and get nutrition advice simultaneously. My goal is to help you re-balance your eating habits and emotional responses so that you can find long-term success.
As well as a nutritionist, I am a UK registered pharmacist and have also spent many years in academia as a clinical nutrition scientist, specializing in nutrition and cancer.

Today I am also training as a Counselor at I.P.S.O (Instituto di Psicologia Somatorelazionale), Institute of Somatic and Relational Psychology to deepen my knowledge of how the relationship with the body influences the perception of what is around us.

My approach is rooted in evidence-based techniques that shift focus from restriction to balance. Every person has a unique relationship with food, and that's why I ensure every client receives personalized guidance to develop a healthier relationship with food.

The sessions are designed to be judgment-free, and my goal is to help you feel empowered to make healthy lifestyle choices.
My approach to nutrition
I believe that by taking care of your diet, you are taking care of your health - to me, diet and health are the same things. Delivering honest and transparent nutrition advice, combined with my scientific and pharmaceutical background means that I can really help you to understand what information, facts, and advice to focus on in order to achieve the results you are looking for.
The main force behind my mission is a deep desire to help individuals achieve their long-term goals. Whether you’re seeking help with weight loss, cancer nutrition, or disease prevention, each client is individually evaluated and provided with a well-researched and comprehensive plan they can follow for the rest of their lives.
I also understand that in order to take steps in the right direction and make changes to your diet and lifestyle, you will often need support and guidance outside of your consultation time.
